I went out to Denver, CO, this past summer to visit some friends who recently moved there. We spent the weekend backpacking and hiking through the mountains, but the wildest thing we experienced was right in their own backyard when a Swainson's hawk flew overhead with a freshly nabbed snake in it's talons. Once I was back home, I got right to carving this up in my studio.
